Most of the world is focused on short-term goals like money, comfort, and emotions, while very little effort goes into growing our shared knowledge and wisdom. Life on Earth faces serious risks but we aren’t working together to deal with them. Technology is moving faster than our ability to lead it wisely, and progress in areas like transhumanism is much slower than it could be. Many smart people exist, but they work in separate silos without real coordination. Our global systems are still led by outdated ideas like capitalism and power-driven politics, with no real leadership based on wisdom, merit, or deep thinking. We also have no agreed-upon values or ethics for the future of humans or beyond. There’s no shared vision for growing into a more advanced or cosmic civilization. As a result, knowledge, ethics, and power are disconnected—and that puts our future at risk.
